Create your own Radio show! | Radio hsf

Radio Workshop at Radio hsf
During the workshop, you’ll produce your own radio show. You’ll get the chance to explore our different departments – whether you prefer being on the mic, planning the show behind the scenes, operating the technical equipment, or handling public relations – every team is excited to have your support! All this and much more is possible with us!
As Germany’s oldest student-run radio station, Radio hsf produces daily radio programming featuring music and all the important news from the city and the university. That means we create our radio content for each and every one of you – and it also means that anyone can join in. We want to show you what everyday life in radio looks like. Got your own ideas? Bring them on!
There’s also plenty to do behind the scenes: you can support us at events we provide technical services for, or work with our studio equipment. Of course, we also meet up for fun – whether it’s bowling, game nights, or just hanging out together.

The World of Gaming | Ilmenau Esports

Workshop Day at Ilmenau Esport
The Ilmenau Esport Workshop Day focuses on two exciting topics:
LAN Concept Development:
One group works on a concept for a nationwide LAN event in Ilmenau, inviting universities from across Germany to participate. The goal is to bring together ideas for organization, infrastructure, and community building.
Gaming Action:
Meanwhile, the second group plays a selected gaming title while the first group works on the concept. This creates a dynamic exchange between planning and practice.
The Workshop Day thus combines strategic planning with hands-on gaming experience – a varied and engaging day for everyone who wants to shape and experience esports.

The Association:
The student interest group Ilmenau eSport has existed for over four years. It serves as the central hub for all gaming and esports enthusiasts at the university. On September 14, 2020, the group officially founded an association, which was registered on November 13, 2020, under the name Ilmenau eSport e.V.. The association is represented by volunteer students from TU Ilmenau and aims to create a structured environment for esports to meet the growing demand – even beyond the university.
Here is an excerpt from the association’s statutes regarding its purpose:

Promoting societal acceptance of esports in general and fostering the community of esports enthusiasts in Ilmenau in particular;
Enhancing media literacy among the association’s members;
Promoting tolerance, especially regarding gender, religion, origin, or ethnicity;
Encouraging teamwork through a focus on team-based games;
Supporting fair play and mutual respect in competitive situations;
Raising awareness about the opportunities and risks of esports.

The existing offerings are not meant to be replaced but rather expanded. All students will have access to a Teamspeak and Discord server, and established events (such as public viewing of the League of Legends World Championships) will continue.
Additionally, members will be provided with social components and other team-building activities for active and regular exchange.
Critical discussions on topics such as “gaming” and “shooter games,” as well as other events, are also planned.
